Service of thanks and reflection at the War Memorial. The Borough, High Street, Yeovil.
There will be a Service of Remembrance, Commemoration and Thanks in respect of the 80th anniversary of D-Day, to be held at 1030 hrs, on the 6th June 2024, at the war memorial, the borough, High Street Yeovil.
The Yeovil armed forces group is organising the service.
The service will commence at 1030 hrs sharp and is scheduled to end shortly after 1100 hrs.
The mayor of Yeovil, councillor Andrew Kendall, will be in attendance along with the reverends Dan Crouch (mayor's chaplain) and Keith Stephens.
There will be veterans and others from the Yeovil area both present and taking part.
Please come along and show gratitude and thanks for the sacrifices made by our armed forces for their brave actions 80 years ago, in the course of the beginning of the end of World War 2.
