This brand new show centres on one of the greatest composers of the 20th Century, George Gershwin and features many of his compositions including The Man I Love, Someone to Watch Over Me, Summertime and I've Got Rhythm'.

Featuring Julian Stringle on Clarinet, Dominic Ashworth on Guitar, Craig Milverton on Piano, Ashley John Long on Bass and Nick Millward on Drums.
Julian and Dominic are 2 of our greatest musicians and alongside The Craig Milverton Trio, this promises to be an evening of Virtuosity, Swing and Fun!

Dominic Ashworth studied at the University of Toronto, Canada, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He is an active freelance player who has worked with Carol Kidd, Jacqui Dankworth, Dave Cliff and Janette Mason. Dominic is also a composer, and has written and recorded many original works for radio and television and performs with original guitar trio Digital Moves. He performs in London with groups such as Julian Stringle's Pathfinder, the Mick Foster Group, Digby Fairweather's Half Dozen and Michael Garrick's Big Band & Quartet

Julian Stringle plays Clarinet, Alto & Tenor Saxes and Sings - but the Clarinet is his passion and he is now recognised as the most stylish performer on the instrument in Europe.

He was voted 'Best Clarinettist' at the British Jazz Awards 2019. His major influences have been Artie Shaw, Peanuts Hucko, Buddy De Franco,
Eddie Daniels, Oscar Peterson - and Delius!

Julian's highly melodic music and unique sound reach the younger audience while his soul, original writing and phenomenal technique on his instrument excite jazz aficionados.

"The best clarinettist to emerge in British jazz for decades" Sir John Dankworth.

The performance starts at 7:30 pm, doors from 6:30 pm with a bar available.
