Broadcast on Radio Ninesprings 104.5 fm it has helped to generate 5,000 personal products for giving to local NHS workers.
Organisers of the ‘Nuturing Hospital Staff Appeal’ was launched in January to collect products for giving out to employees at both Yeovil and Dorchester hospitals. Products donated during the 6-week appeal ranged from face creams to bath salts, and included certain food items.Drop-off points were set-up in shops and houses where people could take their donations.
Organiser, Anna said: “Stress levels in the NHS are quite high at the moment and being able to give staff these personal items brought a little comfort – it was as a morale booster.”
