Yeovil Library's Decarbonisation Project

Somerset Libraries are excited to inform you that from mid-June until the end of September 2021 Yeovil library will be undergoing extensive building works to reduce its carbon emissions.

As a result of this, some areas of the library will have restricted access and Yeovil's full range of services may be reduced. There will be some disruption to different areas of the library during the building work along with a level of noise.

There will be limited People's Network access as this service may be affected during building works.

    To book a free self-help library computer, email librariesmail@somerset.gov.uk or phone 0300 123 2224.

Where browsing may not be available Yeovil library will run its popular Library Choice service. For a collection of up to 10 items per person, hand-picked by library staff, based on topics, genres or authors you request, please complete the Library Choice Service form and wait for library staff to contact you about your selection.

Yeovil library will also be offering the Summer Reading Challenge this year over the summer period and again where access to browsing is restricted customers can take part in our Library Choice Service. Please look out for updates and how to take part.

There will be a mobile library service located outside Yeovil library on certain dates throughout the summer. Please lookout for more details on Yeovil Library's Facebook page www.facebook.com/YeovilLibrary.

From the period 19th July - 1st August (inclusive) Yeovil library will be closed. If you need to return books these can be returned to any other Somerset library or you can renew your books via your library account at www.librarieswest.org.uk.

Any books borrowed prior to this will not be due back any earlier than 2nd August 2021.

To check your return dates, access your library account at www.librarieswest.org.uk or use the LibrariesWest app. If you need help logging in, or have any queries about your loans, library staff can assist, email librariesmail@somerset.gov.uk or phone 0300 123 2224.

To contact Yeovil Library directly please email us at yeolib@somerset.gov.uk.
