Yeovil Window Art

Owners of empty shop premises in Yeovil are being asked to join a scheme, aimed at brightening up Yeovil town centre.

Like most towns, the change in people’s shopping habits and the pandemic has led to retailers closing and premises being left empty -

To help improve the experience for visitors, ‘Love Yeovil’ is working with Yeovil Art Space and Yeovil College to have artwork, graphics, and photographs displayed on the windows of empty shops.

Students have been asked to create pieces of artwork on the theme of ‘together we are stronger’ that reflect their interpretation of the concept, using the various mediums

Alice Edmonds from Love Yeovil said getting hold of shop owners has proved a challenge and is asking them to come forward if they have a window that could do with brightening up, while the shop remains vacant.

There is no cost to the owner and any artwork installed will be removed should the unit become occupied.

To contact Love Yeovil email info@loveyeovil.com or call Alice Edmonds on 07946 378203.
