    Somerset Council has provided rough sleepers with emergency accommodation due to the extremely cold weather of the past few days, which has posed a risk to their lives. The Council has a policy of paying for hotel rooms for people who sleep rough.

    Three men from Somerset, who haven't been named yet, are charged in connection with a series of burglaries and are due in court today. Police say stolen weapons and antiques were seized during a four-month investigation that remains ongoing. The three men are from Bridgwater, Somerton, and Street.

    A warm space in Yeovil is planning for a big increase in people using its services this winter. St Peter's Community Centre in Westfield started its warm space programme in 2022 and says it’s been kept busy running a food bank and hot meals service. Marie Rice helps to run the centre.

    The Arrow pub in Yeovil has been awarded a National Sports Pub of the Year award. The judging panel described The Arrow as delivering a "best-in-class experience" during sports events and creating a reputation for being the pub of choice for enjoying sports.
