The Leader of Yeovil Town Council is calling on the public to treat the town centre with more respect. Councillor Andy Soughton says he’s been sickened seeing the newly-laid pavement slabs in the High Street and Middle Street blackened by cigarette ends, drink and food stains. He says the thoughtless actions of just a few, are under-minding the Council’s efforts through the Refresh project to improve the appearance of the town centre.

They say the packs are a cause of cross contamination with other waste items and are putting handlers at risk. They say blister packs should be taken for safe disposal to a local pharmacy.
