    Somerset has entered the third stage of the Covid vaccination rollout. Somerset County Council is making an extra half a million pounds available to certain businesses affected by the pandemic. A farm shop in Lopenhead near South Petherton has won a top award for the third year in a row. Two Somerset girls have embarked on walking the equivalent of four marathons to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity.

    Somerset has entered the third stage of the Covid vaccination rollout. Joint Senior Operating Officer for Covid Vaccinations in Somerset, Andy Herron, says older people will soon be offered the chance of a booster jab. Meanwhile, the Haynes Motor Museum at Sparkford is now one of Somerset's major vaccination sites. It follows the closure of the vaccination centre at the Bath and West Showground and the operation moving to the Haynes Motor Museum

    Somerset County Council is making an extra half a million pounds available to certain businesses affected by the pandemic. Council says the Covid Recovery Fund is to help businesses that have yet to receive financial support from the government.

    A farm shop in Lopenhead near South Petherton has won a top award for the third year in a row. The Trading Post Farm Shop has been given a Muddy Stiletto Award after being voted the Best Farm Shop and Deli in Somerset.

    Two Somerset girls have embarked on walking the equivalent of four marathons to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity. Carina Hand, aged 14, from Charlton Musgrove, and her cousin Thea Grafton, aged 15, from Charlton Mackrell, were inspired to take on the challenge after Carina’s brother, Tristan, was treated successfully for a brain tumour.
