It’s also emerged that the cost of the town's new swimming pool has increased to sixteen million pounds. South Somerset District Council could now have to take out a 12 million pound loan for the scheme to progress.
Police have made an arrest in connection with an assault on a man in Langport. It happened in the area of Parrett Close last Friday. The man needed hospital treatment for his injuries which were not thought to be life-threatening.
