It comes as new research from Bowel Cancer UK suggests that nearly four in ten people can’t name a single symptom of bowel cancer. Somerset County Council has been fined £2,000 after a girl with special needs missed nearly six months of school due to delays in reviewing her care plan. The girl missed a substantial amount of mainstream schooling between September 2021 and February 2022 during which time Somerset County Council fell short of giving her alternative education. The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman have ordered the Council to compensate the family for the distress caused.

The changes would mean players only be paid in full for twelve weeks after being injured and not playing. Josh Staunton says the move is totally unacceptable.
