Owners, EDF Energy, has applied to the Office for Nuclear Regulation for formal permission to decommission the site that ceased operations in 2022. People have 3-months in which to give their views, with the decommissioning process due to start in the summer of 2025.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a single-vehicle collision involving a blue Ford Fiesta and a tree at the junction of the A30 with the B3167 Roman Road near Cricket St Thomas.
