Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted break-in at the Argos store off Babylon Hill near Yeovil. It happened at around 5.30 am on Sunday when a vehicle rammed the side of the building. Police say the vehicle was a light-blue Seat Salsa and would like to hear from anyone who saw it in the vicinity of the Argos store at the time of the attempted burglary or has dashcam footage. The Bishop of Bath and Wells, the Right Reverend Michael Beasley, has spoken out against legalising assisted dying. He says it could result in vulnerable people feeling compelled to end their lives. Two-way traffic lights will be operating on Furnham Road in Chard from this Friday, October 25th to Sunday, November 3rd. this will allow Wales and West to carry out essential work to upgrade a gas pipe. A further road closure will take place at Furzehill from November 18th to December 20th.
